The Whisper

A man takes a walk in the woods to clear his mind after an argument with his girlfriend. As he ventures deeper, he begins hearing faint whispers calling his name, pleading with him, asking "Why?" At first, he brushes it off as his imagination, but the whispers grow louder and more desperate. Drawn to the source, he stumbles upon a secluded area in the forest. There, he faces an entity that looks and sounds exactly like him. The short ends with a terrifying twist—the entity has taken his place, leaving him trapped in the woods.

Director Biography - Juan Piedra

Juan Piedra was born in Ecuador and has a unique background with a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering and a master's in sustainable development from the Netherlands, where he lived for over four years. Despite this, his passion for art has always driven him, leading to pursuits in stand-up comedy, acting, and now, for the first time, directing and editing a short horror film. A lifelong fan of movies, Juan Piedra is now exploring the cinematic world, living near the iconic Middle of the World monument in Ecuador, blending creative storytelling with their diverse experiences.
