The Way Me Noop
The video opens with a giant robot emerging from a crowd of puppets, followed by strange creatures who launch into an uninhibited celebration, “nooping” across the cityscape. Their joyful chaos is interrupted by a military strike, sparking a wave of destruction. Amidst the frenzy, the dancers continue undeterred, their purpose unclear yet resolute. In the final scene, one of the dancers transcends, glowing with a green energy, as it ascends into space—achieving the elusive state of “nooping” in a cosmic climax.

Jonah is known for his work as a comedy editor and is now exploring directing with a focus on weird, offbeat projects. He’s directed some strange web videos and a music video for Jonsk called The News, where he leaned into his unique sense of humor and visual style. Coming from NYC’s commercial editing scene, Jonah has worked with agencies and production companies on big campaigns, editing spots with actors like Idris Elba and Jamie Lee Curtis.
While editing is still his main gig, Jonah’s recent directing projects have caught attention at festivals like The California International Film Festival and The Portland Film Festival. His style blends a comedic edge with unexpected twists, keeping things fresh and a little weird. Jonah’s just getting started as a director, but he’s bringing the same dedication to his projects as he does with his editing work.
This music video began as a lighthearted AI experiment, but I soon shifted gears. I scrapped the initial clips and started creating elements to layer and comp together, aiming for something more cohesive and visually engaging. With my background in editing, comedy, and VFX, I wanted to push AI beyond its usual randomness and build something unexpected yet purposefully crafted. And, of course, it helps that the music is by Jonsk—who is me—so we have a deep connection.
