The Way I Loved You by McKenna Bray

This is McKenna Bray's official music video for her single, "The Way I Loved You" (CD: "Once in a Blue Moon," MADJACK Records). Creative concept curtesy of record producer Susan Marshall; Co-directed & produced by Susan Marshall and Kim Lloyd; Edited by Kim Lloyd. Cinematography and Production were provided by Sean Faust and Josh Beckemeyer of New School Media. The dancers are Shamar Rooks and Megan McCusker. Location provided by The Brooks Museum of Memphis, Tennessee. Executive Produced by MADJACK Records and Mckenna Bray Music, LLC @2018. The recording was produced by Susan Marshall with mix and engineering by Matt Ross Spang and Jeff Powell at Sam Phillips Recording; "The band is a veritable Bluff City Wrecking Crew, featuring the core personnel of David Cousar on guitar, Ken Coomer on drums, Dave Smith on bass, and Richard Alan Ford on pedal steel and/or banjo. Other talents are sprinkled throughout, including Marshall on vocal harmonies. Al Gamble, Peewee Jackson, Jeff Powell, Matt Ross-Spang, Mark Edgar Stuart also make appearances. And Will Tucker sings a lovely duet with Bray on the ambivalent relationship song "Dive," adding some of his trademark blues guitar for good measure. " Alex Greene, The Memphis Flyer

Director Biography - Susan Marshall , Kim Lloyd

Susan Marshall
Memphis based singer, songwriter and producer Susan Marshall has released five critically praised solo albums on indie label MADJACK Records. The former front lady for 90’s rock/soul band The Mother Station is also known for her performances with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra as well as her 10 year residency at Itta Bena located on world famous Beale Street just above B.B. Kings. She’s toured internationally as part of the Afghan Whigs as well as with Cat Power & The Memphis Rhythm Band, appearing on Austin City Limits, The Late Show w/David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and the BBC’s "Later...with Jools Holland" and has been a featured artist for “Sun Studio sessions” on PBS. Susan is also known for her studio and/or stage work with a wide range of superstars; Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Lenny Kravitz, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lucinda Williams, Primal Scream and Katharine McPhee to name a few. This is Susan's music video directing debut.

Kim Lloyd
Kim works from her Midtown Memphis home-studio mostly producing and editing music related content. She seems to take root wherever she lives currently producing content about regional icons Elvis Presley, BB King, Furry Lewis, Justin Timberlake and others. She produces and edits long & short form documentaries including producing work with artists Elvis Costello, Keith Richards, Bonnie Raitt and Johnny Cash. She’s produced advertising content and live music content for Sony Legacy, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Live From the House of Blues. Thanks to Susan & McKenna, she co-directed McKenna Bray's first official music video.
