The Way

We are taught what is permitted and what is not from a young age
They show us the right way to go, following family or society.
In the moments when you deviate from the path, they make sure to remind you of what is right and what is wrong.
They will always push you to succeed in their way
And if you fell,
Get up.
Clean yourself up
You hide your wounds.
Get back into the groove.

I wander the paths I love and go to the parts I fear
All my life they told me to follow the straight path, "to be normal"
What is a straight path? What is being normal?
This way, I hate her, but I love her.
But again I'm so afraid of what will happen to me.
Again I choose to be in my way.
Because it's a messy and beautiful tendency.
