The Way

The Way

By: Leah Keane

The leaves are changing
I don’t feel the same
If only time would freeze I’d stand on this old mountain
And I’d scream

Please show me

The Way

The winds are changing
I don’t feel the same
If only I could fly I’d soar above this old mountain
And I’d scream

Please show me

The Way, the way, the way

The Way, the way, the way

Oh dear Miss Mother Mountain
I’ve been searching for a fountain of wisdom
That I’m told you have

And if only I could drink
From her cascading waters I might
Finally find out who I am

And I made it through the thickets
And passed the old wicked one
He told me he would hold my heart for you

And I can smell the ocean breeze
And the pine is just as sweet
And this song is my offering to you

So please show me

The Way, the way, the way
The way, the way
I don’t know the way

I don’t know the way

The leaves are changing
I know I’m not the same
Time seemed to freeze
As I stood on the mountain and I screamed
Please show me
