Annie Tudora got her Bachelor's in Film and Media at Georgia State University. She has directed 6 short films, including a documentary and music video. She received her Master's in User Experience Design at Kent State University. Her experience in tech as a user experience researcher as well as her experience as a disabled person reflects in her most recent short film The Watchers.
In recent years, the United States has experienced unprecedented levels of polarization, a phenomenon largely fueled by the influence of social media. Platforms often confine users within echo chambers, reinforcing ideological biases and exacerbating societal divisions. Drawing from my experience in website/application design, I've witnessed firsthand how this dynamic unfolds. My film, 'The Watchers,' delves into the unethical nature of social media, depicting how it preys on individuals at their most vulnerable moments, ensnaring them in perilous echo chambers of misinformation and extremism.
