Fernando Farias is an actor, humourist, screenwriter, art-educator, diretor and cultural producer. Graduated in Social Communication (Radio and TV) by COLLEGE OSWALDO CRUZ; actor graduated by SP THEATER SCHOOL and as circus artist (clown) by CIRCUS WAREHOUSE.
In 16 years on the artistic enviroment, Fernando Farias acted, produced and directed short films, web series, advertising performances and vídeo clips, theatrical performances (comic and dramatic), events and variety shows.
Main professional milestones:
Director Assistant in the feature film ‘’A Rinha’’ from Marcelo Galvão. Film attended in 2008 Cannes Film Festival.
Director, Producer and Protagonist of the short film ‘’O Que Me Faz Rir’’. Qualified in fourth place by popular vote in the 2008 world’s Festival NÓKIA MOBILE CINEMA.
Produer of the Reaity-show ‘’Ídolos’’, in the versions of 2009 and 2010, displayed on REDE RECORD of Television.
In May 2011 Fernando founded the GRUPO CAOS PRODUÇÕES ARTÍSTICAS, with the initiative to create exchanges between several artists and their languages, promoting collective artistic activity and independente of any government incentive.
Nowadays, under Fernando Farias management, the Group CAOS gathers about 37 arts professionals set and more than 300 indirect artists.
Produces events, shows, áudio-visual products, art classes and social projects.
Currently, by the Group CAOS, Fernando Directs and Stars the humorous web serie ‘’The Walking Gay’’ – written by him. The serie brings the participation of Nando Cunha and Fabiano Cambota. It was nominated at 2018’s RIO WEB FEST as Best Original Series and Best Comedy Script. And by this same work, at 2019’s RIO WEB FEST, Fernando Farias was nominated as Best Comedy Actor.
