Nicholas is a recent graduate of the Bournemouth Film School. As a writer/director, he has created for both film and theatre, exploring deeply personal subject matter with an often surreal and absurdist edge. He once caught a fish and tried to keep it as a pet. It died after 2 days...
The Vacuum is an absurdist tragicomedy about the way objectification can affect those around us and ourselves. The script was written as a result of reflecting upon mistakes made in past relationships - the spiral of shame and guilt needing to be exorcised. The acknowledgment of the hurt caused, through the film, doesn’t fix everything, but perhaps it’s a start.
