Director Biography - Sapphire Jule King

Sapphire Jule King is a multi-talented actress, poet, speaker, and filmmaker whose journey from the stage to the screen is as dynamic as the roles she inhabits. A Houston native, her love for performance was sparked at just 12 years old when a teacher encouraged her to enter an oratorical contest. This ignited years of award-winning public speaking and oral interpretation competitions, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for storytelling.

After earning an engineering degree from the University of Houston, she moved to Phoenix, where she quickly gained recognition performing her original poetry at large-scale city-sponsored events. Her transition to acting was seamless, making her stage debut in Jar the Floor, a performance that earned strong critical praise. This led to representation by the FORD/Robert Black Agency and her film debut in Scratches, a festival-winning short.

Sapphire Jule has since built a body of work that spans theatre, film, and voice-over, including leading roles in thought-provoking productions like Venus by Suzan-Lori Parks and Bee-Luther-Hatchee under three-time Emmy Award winner Charles St. Clair. Her international career took her to Europe, where she lent her voice to global brands, starred in a Spanish-language Renault ad, and shared the screen with Martin Sheen in Echelon Conspiracy.

Now, Sapphire Jule is making her directorial and executive producer debut with The Uncaged Heart, a TV show that reflects her mission to uplift and inspire through raw, transformative storytelling. Beyond entertainment, she is the founder of King Global Ministries, dedicated to fostering healing through self-love based upon biblical principes. With 20+ years of community service and 24 years of sobriety, her work is rooted in transformation, inclusion, and resilience—both on and off the screen.
