Cinema is a medium I fell in love with very early on in my life. I remember going to the movies for the first time in my life and being in awe of what I was seeing; it felt like a religious experience. From that day on I would always beg my Dad to take me to the movies whenever we had free time.
During high school, I enrolled in a film program offered through my school. Through this program, I created many short films and met my editor, whom I still work with today. After graduating high school, I enrolled in the Georgia State University film and media program to pursue a degree in film and media.
My time in university would help me develop a lot as a writer. Through this program my horizons were expanded and the stories I wanted to tell changed. I shoot my first short film in college, The Traveler, in April of 2024. This project was a massive step up in production from my days in high school. I would have a crew of 13 talented filmmakers travel with me to Tennessee (my Mom’s house) to shoot the film in just two days. Then the Traveler would enter an extensive post-production before premiering at the Hardlight Showcase on November 25th alongside three other films.
Since the completion of The Traveler, I have worked as DP on three other films, No Banjo Music or Come Home by Che Eithridge, ALways Sorry by Leah Yi, and Three Pawns by Che Eithridge. Writing and pre-production are already underway for my next short film which I aim to make this upcoming February.
