The Time After Grief

At the beginning of the 1990s, Colombia was suffering a fierce confrontation between paramilitaries and guerrillas. The paramilitaries, in their crusade for territorial control, attacked and murdered those they suspected of collaborating with the guerrilla forces, regardless of the innocence of their victims. In 1992, Erika Castro lost her family in a massacre perpetrated by a paramilitary group, who were unjustly accused of having ties to the guerrillas. At just 15 years old, Erika was left orphaned and displaced from the place where she had grown up with her parents, forever marked by this tragedy.

Years later, Erika comes face to face with her family's murderers in a historic trial. The perpetrator of the massacre takes responsibility and asks for her forgiveness, but Erika, with her pain still raw, refuses to grant it. This encounter forces her to confront her own trauma, facing the emotional scars that have accompanied her throughout her life.

Determined to heal and release the weight of the past, Erika embarks on a journey back to the house of her childhood, where it all happened. Upon reconnecting with the ghosts of her history, she realizes that only by letting go of the pain can she rebuild what she has lost and give new meaning to her life.
