Director Biography - Claire Fleming

As an Art Director on major motion pictures I've had the pleasure to learn from and be inspired by some of the most talented film makers.

'Lines', my short animation completed in 2020 has recently screen in many festivals world wide.
Narrated by Letitia Wright, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jodie Turner-Smith, Adepero Oduye and Riz Ahmed, 'Lines' animates the heartbreaking and moving poems written by American prisoners, revealing their regrets, fears and hopes beyond the lines of their confinement.

Director Statement

Having spent many hours on the London Underground, I often wonder what people are thinking. How our every days cross paths for a few moments never knowing where they are going or what might be happening in theirs lives. To have compassion and respect for those we share a space with for however short a period. Along with the subconscious affect of all the advertising posters littering the walls have on our minds and thought process.
