The Tesla Case
Aspiring young "inventor" Tony is working on a wireless electricity device inspired by the eccentric genius Nikola Tesla. Tony is a firm believer that his discovery would solve the global energy crisis. To his utter disappointment, he is forced to go to a summer camp with his classmates. Tony invites his dear friend and neighbor Raya who, being left all alone by her ever-traveling parents, gladly welcomes his proposal. Surviving nature won't be the only hurdle that Tony needs to overcome. Local scouts' leader Victor, who is jealous of Tony, decides to ruin his scientific attempts and win Raya's affection, while she unravels the secret of the mystery werewolf roaming the nearby forest.

Andrey belongs to the new generation of contemporary Bulgarian directors. In 2004, he graduated with honors from the National High School of Polygraphy and Photography, specializing in Photography. Later on, he received a Bachelor’s degree as a Film and TV Director and a Master’s degree in Film Production. In 2009, he continued his education at the world-famous FAMU film academy in Prague, the Czech Republic. Andrey directed and produced the first Bulgarian 3D stereo documentary, "Steps in the Fire", which received a documentary debut nomination by the Bulgarian Film Academy. Andrey loves working and spending time with kids, so the revival of the golden era of Bulgarian children’s movies has become a personal cause for him. "The Tela Case" is his second children's fiction feature film, preceded by "The Curie Case". Andrey is a member of ECFA - European Children's Film Association.
We live in a time of high technology, where values are slowly changing their meaning. Love for quality cinema, like many other values, is learned from an early age. As a director, I have always been fascinated by children's films and the lessons they convey. Since I started producing and directing films of this genre, I am sure that the children's audience is the most important among others. It is up to us, the filmmakers, that the children grow up as an audience with a developed sense and taste for good cinema. When you talk to children, understand the world through their prism, and become their friend, making a children's film turns from a difficult task into a pleasure, and time passes like a game.
