Director Biography - Andrew Fulwiler

Andrew Fulwiler began his film career during his freshmen year of high school in 1999 when he picked up a camera and used his action figures for "actors" making a few fun shorts. His passion for writing and directing grew exponentially when he met Gilbert Raul Mott who also expressed a passion for filmmaking and the two of them started making their own films together forming Figurehead Productions in 2001 making various short films under that brand through 2005.

Andrew next made his way to Modesto Junior College in 2003 majoring in film for three semesters. In 2004, Andrew won the award for BEST DRAMA at the MJC Reel Awards with his film, "What Went Wrong". Later in 2007 he discovered another young and talented individual by the name of Cameron Steele who also shared an interest in writing and producing films. They went on to form Straight Model Head Productions and released their first official film "Trapped". That same year Andrew and fellow co-worker Chris-Pope Dela Cruz, started to produce the idea of "The Teen Workshop Movie" located in Union City, California. The most recent Teen Workshop project has been on a hiatus since 2012 when production fell apart, but is currently scheduled to resume shooting, picking up where they all left off over ten years ago.

Director Statement

The Teen Workshop Movie was filmed and based off a real operating bike shop and youth program of the same name in Union City, California catering towards neighborhood kids. The movie spawned a small spin-off series entitled, "Chronicles of the Teen Workshop" which told more stories featuring the characters from the first film, along with some new faces, as well as the sequel, "The Teen Workshop Movie 2: Change" which takes place immediately after "Chronicles" season one. The series is currently being rebooted and rewritten for a third and final season to wrap up all the characters and storylines. Shooting resumes Summer 2022.
