Director Biography - Darion Stubbs

Darion Stubbs is an independent filmmaker born in Boston Massachusetts, September 13th, 1993. He began his filming career shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 as a sports camera operator.

Being an athlete himself, Stubbs has a passion for sports and enjoys telling stories of various athletes through the lens. Whether it is through two minute pump up videos and sports montages, or full fledged docuseries.

It was during his time as a camera operator he began to make his presence felt on social media through his filming and editing skills. This would later lead to him being asked to take on projects meant for the big screen.

In 2022 he filmed and directed the documentary "Behind The Belts", where the audience got to go behind the scenes and get an inside look into the Training camp of Lightweight NABF and IBF USBA Champion Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz, preparing for his bout against Vasiliy Lomachenko.

His biggest project yet is "The Tale of a Knight: Rhode Island Football Story", which follows the 2021 season of an inner city high school football team in the heart of Providence, coached by RI football legend Michael Washington.
