The Susegad Life

In my docufilm "The Susegad Life," I had the privilege of delving into the conscious tourism company 'The Local Beat Goa' and their remarkable journey. Through this documentary, I aimed to capture the essence of life in Goa and the vibrant culture of its hinterland, all while highlighting the authenticity of Goans as they navigate the touristy state. Moreover, it was crucial to shed light on the issue of over tourism and its impact on this beautiful region. I hope viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in preserving Goa's unique charm through this film.

Director Biography

DharaneDharan ( DD )

If I had to put a label on myself, it would be that of an Experience designer. But I am more than that. I see the world in frames, and I like to capture them through the medium of photographs and films. I like playing around to create posters that bring out an abstraction of my thoughts. I love sans serif fonts. I often talk a lot, which may be my way of defending my research - which I also love as I often get lost while deep diving in various subjects of my interest.

I do all these things and more. But I'm not afraid to put these things on a backseat every once in a while. That happens when the rain calls me in and I find myself drenched, washing away my worries for a while. Then I spend some time weighing in the pros and cons of having an ice cream or a cup of tea after dancing in the rain.

That's me. But there's a lot more to me.
