The Story of Bacanora

Osvaldo Coronado is a generational farmer and producer of bacanora, the agave distillate unique to the Sonoran Desert of Mexico. As he grew up and inherited the traditions of his family, Osvaldo became aware that the agave plant (and therefore his whole way of life) was intricately connected to a small, rare bat that feeds on the nectar of the agave and plays an essential role in the plant's pollination. This knowledge would transform Osvaldo's life and the work that he is passing on to his children.
