Director Biography

Jimmy Jolly began filmmaking in high school; making small trailers and projects with his friends. Being a theater actor in school musicals and plays and an editor for school announcements, he moved into more ways of telling stories. He made the decision to major in Film on the Directing and Acting track at Cleveland State University. He learned the craft and became inspired as years went on, even when the pandemic hit, he surged on planning projects and waited for the opportunity to emerge. In 2021, with the help of many talented people, he successfully finished his first short film and with the guidance of his teachers, submitted it into the Short. Sweet. Film Fest. and was selected. Now, he moves on to an even bigger project by the name of "Black Lily."
