The Silence

It is about touching grass. About getting an overdose of the digital world, about ones strength of will. Sitting in a dark basement for ever since he imagined a guy passes out because of an unhealthy amount of not touching grass, and then, in an instant he gets reawakened in a forest. Completely disoriented and with no idea of what is going on he decides to get up and walk, but even in the forest he gets presented with a last temptation. The digital manifests in the form of a laptop which the guy is drawn to at the end.

Director Biography - Georg Vladimirskij, Ilij Zaharov

Georg Vladimirskij, born in 2007, and Ilij Zaharov, born in 2008, both attended primary school until 2018. They are currently enrolled in the 10th grade at the Christian Dietrich Grabbe-Gymnasium in Detmold. Since 2018, they have been involved in the production of numerous short film projects for their school. In 2022, they produced a video documentary for a summer project at the Landesmuseum Detmold. Their creative journey continued with the production of a short film titled “Beans” in 2023, followed by another short film, “The Silence,” in 2024.
