Short Script
Darren is an Award-Winning passionate Creative with 18 years of experience in TV promotions. A writer, director, and editor.
Matthew is a tv, film, and theatre actor who strives to be involved with the most interesting projects he can find and commit thoroughly to those projects.
Darren and Matthew have been working together for nearly a decade...
The Short Film Club first came to life on paper over a decade ago whilst Darren worked at Sony Pictures TV. 3 years later Darren gave the script to Matt and he quickly squiggled red ink all over the then 4th version of the 9 page script.
For 4 years we did nothing until Darren left Sony to go freelance, he attended a Robert Mckee course and inspiration exploded as Matt and Darren went back and forth, writing and rewriting to this day, now Version 20 and 18 pages.
The whole process has gone into this script, the love of being creative and trying to better oneself. The love for an industry and its eclectic characters are represented in the script.
A true love letter to being creative, the struggle to be original and a nod to all that has inspired us along the way.
