The Shadow of My Father's Sun

The Shadow of my Father’s Sun (2019) is a documentary centered around the negative stereotypes associated with the nature of masculinity, especially linking to themes of fatherhood. The respective subjectivities of the filmmakers are brought forth throughout the documentary in order to tackle notions of masculinity in South Africa. The Shadow of my Father’s Sun is ultimately about the search for rays of light, the search an identity beyond that inherited.
