Director Biography - Edie Dahlander

Edie Dahlander is a filmmaker from Dallas, Texas. She discovered film her sophomore year of high school, and has been receiving awards and recognition for her work ever since. She accredits much of her immediate success to her background in theatre and 2D art. She looks forward to taking the next step in her career in college, where she will be studying film production.

Director Statement

I believe that the phenomena of the world and even the universe is mirrored in our everyday lives, thus, superficially, much of my work is about the small, dull moments of life that are indicative of something much greater about a person or about the world. I choose this method of storytelling because it invites the audience to connect with the characters/subject matter and I hope that that will provoke thought in my audience members, as provoking thought is one of my ultimate goals when it comes to my art.
