Bruce Binhan Lin is a filmmaker and writer based in Beijing, China. He graduated from the Cinema and Television program at the Hong Kong Baptist University (Zhuhai Campus). This film was his very first work that explores a personal journey of an isolated child.
" I made this film to express the sentiments towards a city I've lived for 22 years. This film is dedicated to the memories I had about this city, including the historical church, the dreamy skating court and my fears of summer storms. My father has been a profound influence on me since my childhood. I would like to imagine a life without the presence of fatherhood. A life without memories and connections to anyone, any place. Therefore, I had this idea of making "A Secret Child"."
