In The Script House we believe that being a writer shouldn't be a lonely job. Collaboration can turn a good script into a great one. For that reason, we're about to do our first Live Read! Join us!

The work of up to 3 writers will be chosen to be read on the stage by professional actors. You will hear your words come to life in front of an audience and you'll be able to see people reacting to your work. Are they laughing where they're supposed to laugh? Are they shocked by that unique twist in the story?

Once the script is read, we will open the mic for constructive feedback from our industry guest and the audience. Getting notes from people who are new to the story and have a fresh eye can help you identify issues in the script and will open the door to new amazing possibilities.

Come and join us on this trip by submitting your work or by attending the event and helping fellow writers with your notes!

Amazing! Gabriela and the entire team were very helpful. Hearing actors read my words well was very inspiring and gave me the confidence and tools for some great re-writes!

When writing your story, hearing it spoken aloud is priceless. You'll hear the gaps and the wordiness and the highs and lows you'd otherwise miss when reading it with your voice only. Workshopping your script is a must-do you need to run to! Thumbs up — way up!

  • Great people. Great project. I'd recommend the experience to anyone with a script that needs to get heard.
