Danda Russo is a screenwriter and filmmaker born and raised in Brazil and based in Los Angeles, CA.
Before she was able to pursue a career in filmmaking, Danda graduated from Law School and then achieved an MBA in Marketing.
In 2008 she moved to the United States, where she studied acting at Stella Adler Acting Studio, Playhouse West and Studio 4 where she was part of James Franco’s Evil Days Project.
She acted in a few plays amongst them John Guare’s The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year and John Pielmeir’s Agnes of God, playing Doctor Martha Livingstone.
Danda’s passion for acting translated directly into a calling for writing. In 2017 she enrolled in the UCLA Extension Screenwriting Program where she finished her first Screenplay “The Green Door” under the supervision of Michael Barlow.
She has written and worked on a number of projects including The Green Door (Writer), Compass (Writer), The Roller Coaster (Writer), The Concert (Writer), The Journey (Writer), The Wait (Writer), Mariposa (Actor), Bumpy Rhodes (Actor), Birdcaged (Writer), I’m Here Now (Writer/Actor). HOME (Writer/Actor) and The Scarf which is her debut as a director.
She was nominated for Best Female Director in the 2020 IndieShort Fest for The Scarf, and she was awarded Winner - Best Cast Ensemble for Bumpy Rhodes in the 2020 IndieShort Fest, 2020 Indie X Film Fest and Independent Shorts Awards 2020.
Luciana is an avant-guard filmmaker born and raised in Brazil.
Before pursuing a career in filmmaking she achieved a LAW degree and an Accounting degree . She has worked as a producer on a few projects including Between Wolves and Men and A Vida e Loka.
She studied acting at Stella Adler Acting Studio in Hollywood, Playhouse West, and attended the director’s course at UCLA Extension before her directorial debut with The Scarf.
