The Savoy is passionate about sharing the work of local Vermont filmmakers and work that was created in the great hills of Vermont so this year we are hosting a Vermont Filmmakers Showcase! If you are a filmmaker based in Vermont or produced, filmed and directed your work in Vermont then please submit your film for a chance to be shown on our big screen!

The Savoy VT Filmmakers Showcase is designed to promote the art of filmmaking by showcasing the films of Vermont filmmakers, and expose audiences to the creative talents in their community, and to provide opportunities for audiences to engage in post-screening discussions with the filmmakers.

The Showcase will take place on June 28th for an all-day event at The Savoy Theater in Montpelier VT. Eligible films include shorts, docs, and features of any length. The filmmakers of selected films are encouraged to attend for a post-screening Q&A session.

• Filmmakers from Vermont and/or film made in Vermont are invited to submit their films.
• If your film was made out of the state and you are not a Vermont filmmaker your film will not be considered.
• No age or time restrictions.
• All works must be submitted via an online screener through FilmFreeway.
• All films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles.
• The judges’ decisions are final. Individual feedback will not be provided.
• We do not pay rental/screening fees.
• Films must be in their final form at the time of submission.
• Selected films must be made available for presentation in either DCP, professionally mastered Blu-ray or DVD, or h.264 format.
• The Savoy VT Filmmakers Showcase is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademarks, credits or royalty infringements related to the work. Submission of an entry to this Showcase signifies that the entrant understands, accepts and agrees to these conditions.
• Materials of all submissions become the property of The Savoy Filmmakers Showcase and can be used for review purposes and to promote the film and the Showcase in all mediums including film, television, radio and the Internet.
