The Sacred Run, the lotus and the feather
First Nation leader, Dennis Banks, with indigenous people from North America and Japan, were joined by volunteers from 14 countries on a ceremonial run finishing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Native wisdom is woven with Japanese traditions on this remarkable physical and spiritual journey of a diverse group of all ages, who voyaged 4,000 km along the Sea of Japan to carry the simple message, that All Life is Sacred.
The film is a stunning inspirational portrait of individuals committed to promoting peace, respect for the earth and all life, and to sharing the rich cultural diversity of the human race.
A lyrical film, it reveals that the transformation of the individual ripples out to infuse the world with more consciousness. We can create the world we dream of.

No matter what medium Andrea explores, her favorite theme explores balancing spirit and matter through the heart.
I am most passionate about consciousness. All of my films have the theme of balancing spirit and matter. How do we as spiritual beings in physical bodies live on the earth in a balanced way with respect for all life? My mission as a filmmaker is to inspire the viewer and contribute in some way to their transformation from thinking they are separate to expanding their consciousness to the awareness of the unified field that flows through them and everything. This film, The Sacred Run, the lotus and the feather is very close to my heart and soul.
