I’ve been living and studying in the USA since 2013, and I’m very aware of the historical emigration of Irish to the USA. Back in the 1970’s during the recession, many Irish traveled to the USA to find work and live the dream.
Ireland was hit with another recession in 2008. Irish graduates had no place at home in Ireland and the emigration to USA began in huge droves again. I have seen the struggles of young Irish since arriving in the USA, it’s more about survival than living the dream now.
So I decided to write this story about a young Irish male Immigrant who has little skills except for pool hustling, attracting trouble and being the cheekiest man in the room.
This will be a fun, fast paced and witty adventure about an Irishman's pursuit of the American dream.
