Writing/Directing:
Paul Dean has been writing and directing short films, commercials, in-house videos and music videos for 15 years. Selected for a script writing course with North West Vision (UK Film Council), ‘First Take: Distinct Voices, Diverse Lives’, Paul set about writing and directing his first 15 minute short “The Lovers” - eventually earning praise for the quality and scope of the zero-budget film. He has since gone on to write and direct on many projects.

Director Statement

The Road Less Run started after a chance meeting with Scott who wanted someone to film his last race with Honza, it then turned in to a massive seven year journey and this film. Struggling with time commitments, lack of money and an urge to tell this story the best way possible and to do justice to the hundreds of volunteers and athletes for whom this is so important. He is so proud that Kristyna and he can now show this film to the world and, hopefully, inspire others to get involved.
