The River Cannot Go Back

Our poetic short titled ‘The River Cannot Go Back’ engages with topics of migration and mobilities. The film depicts the journey of a river meeting the sea. Using the motif of water and motion, such as rivers, streams and bodies of water, the movement of water acts as a narrational metaphor for diasporas and individuals’ passage to a new beginning.
