A Singaporean-American filmmaker and composer based in Southern California. Currently a college film and music major.
Having spent half his life thus far in the United States and the other half in Singapore, he brings with him a perspective shaped by different cultures and traditions.
Also a violinist classically trained in music, he enjoys other fields of art like writing, music composition, visual art, drama and graphic design.
Growing up in the United States, I’ve always felt a little disconnected from my cultural roots. Even though I spent my later years in Singapore, the stress of my life left little room to truly explore my cultural identity.
‘The Right Move’ hints at this journey of cultural disconnection and reconnection through a game of Chinese Chess that doesn’t go well simply because the players don’t know the rules well.
