Director Statement

The film revolves around the relationship between guide dog Jenny and her adoptive family, trainer and the blind woman.
Like other guide dogs, Jenny was raised as a puppy by a human adoptive family. The " adoptive parents" treat Jenny, who is so smart and sweet, like a baby. As an adult, she completes her education with her trainer at the training center. Jenny is the first guide dog trained by Mingyan Fu. Therefore, the story behind raising a guide dog is a mixture of love and severity. After graduating, Jenny served Chen Yan, a blind woman, for several years until Jenny retiring. During these ten years, three families grew up and lived together with Jenny. Each journey was irreplaceable. That's why it was so difficult to decide where Jenny would end up.
The service is the longest period of her life. During these eight years, Jenny's experience is a microcosm of the plight of the blind in China. And it has become the subject of "selective expression" by the media. In recent years, the public has changed from little knowledge of guide dogs to gradually accepting them in China. It is indispensable for the efforts of the blind who have guide dogs. When the scarce guide dogs become the focus of the media, the relationship between guide dogs and the blind began to have some subtle changes. At the same time, under the shooting of the media, both the image and the facts behind it built into a whole with overlap and difference. The "facts" is actually mixed with the "fictions" of others. And what we see is not what it is.
