Ellen M. Puff received her Bachelor of Speech from Northwestern University’s Theatre Department, studying with two Tony Award winning directors. After Northwestern, she continued her studies at ACT in San Francisco and worked in LA as a production assistant. She has produced, directed, and adapted literature for the stage in SF, LA, Chicago, and Minneapolis. In addition, she served as a dramaturge at the O’Neill National Play Writing Festival with the late Pulitzer-prize winning author August Wilson. Ms. Puff earned a Master's degree in Education and is a licensed high school English, Speech, and Theatre teacher.
Ellen was born in Minneapolis, the youngest of eight children. She was raised in an environment that valued education, resilience, the Arts, kindness to all, and a good sense of humor.
