She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology: Clinical Counseling and 15+ years of performance training and experience in acting, singing, dancing, and modeling as well as two black belts in Tae Kwon Do/Hapkido. She is also proficient at speaking French, speaking in various dialects, playing piano, and shooting firearms including archery! In her free time, she enjoys playing Pokemon TCG, writing, traveling, and watching sci-fi movies & tv shows! Based in Los Angeles, Angelica revels in set life and performing in short, feature, and animated films! She welcomes the prospect of new opportunities to pursue her newfound love of writing and directing!
Coming from a background in performance, prominently acting, I was instantly fascinated by the medium of film when I was invited on a horror film set to play my friend’s wife-turned-zombie. That short but amazing experience changed my life forever. Theatre will always have a special place in my heart since I grew up performing on stage, but being on a set, and working on a film, is where I truly feel alive. It is my home. After writing, producing, and directing my debut film, ‘the RED in me’, a short film about the struggles of mental illness symptoms, stigma, and emotional vulnerability, I knew that I was hooked - I want to become a director! This does not mean that I will give up on my dreams with acting, singing, and dancing with a touch of martial arts, but that I will be actively pursuing the craft of writing & directing as well. A few years ago, I realized my true calling in life as I was finishing up a Master’s in Psychology. I am a performer. A dreamer. With this insight, I convinced my partner to move down to Los Angeles, CA, with me after graduating to pursue my ambitions. I am eternally grateful he acquiesced, and with this opportunity, aim to create something beautiful every day! I find this entertainment craft - this acting, writing, directing, producing, editing, composing, & special effects - to not only be a very fulfilling ambition personally, but a chance to evoke an emotional response which will potentially inspire changes in social perspectives. With this in mind, I will not always portray a gritty story with many overlapping themes, but aim to expand the multiple possibilities of storytelling by crafting a wide variety of stories across genres portraying many facets of subtle truths. I will always be involved with stories that affect me personally, and I look forward to breathing life into those stories and smiling as they spark curiosity, passion, humor, love, hope, and truthful understanding into each individual who views them.
Never stop dreaming, wondering, & creating.
