The Pugilist

Pugilist = (pew-ji-list) n. One who fights with his fists for sport.

Director Christopher Miles, who has worked on over 200 Hollywood films such as, AVATAR, THE DARK KNIGHT FILMS, HUNGER GAMES and many more, introduces his latest Independent film, "The Pugilist." With Stars such as Kofi Yiadom (The Black Panther, Batman vs Superman, The Pirates films, etc.), Lymon Good (Current UFC Middleweight, Former Bellator Middleweight Champion), Charles Etubiebi (Nollywood star, known for 93 Days, King of Boys, Kofa), Vic Stagliano (Sons of Anarchy, Ray Donovan, Burn Notice) and Angel Valerio (Chuck Norris' World Combat League, Sleeper, Wayunagu).

The film is about a former fighter who returns home after prison, intent to do better in life. He meets and falls in love with a blind woman. The loneliness the two of them feel draws them together, but both of their pasts resurface and threaten to destroy them. This gritty Drama/Romance features a stellar cast, a great Hip Hop and RnB soundtrack and heart pumping action.

Director Biography - Christopher Miles

Christopher Miles went to the Institute of Audio Research, where he graduated with high honors. In the following years, he was the Front of House Mixer on various US Music Tours. At Unique Recording Studios in New York, he became an In-House Recording Engineer, where he recorded the Albums for various artists such as KRS-One, Big Pun, Joe, Common and many more.

In the year 2000, he became the Chief Technician of Advanced Audio, an Audio Recording Technical Company, whose specialty was Film Scoring. He has been a part of over 200 Hollywood films, projects such as Avatar, The Dark Knight Series, The Jason Bourne series, The Hunger Games Series, Star Wars, and many other feature films over the years.

In 2011, he wrote, produced and directed his first feature film, “Reversion,” which has won awards for BEST ACTOR, BEST DIRECTOR, BEST PICTURE, and BEST CUTTING EDGE FILM, and is currently distributed on platforms such as Apple TV, Tubi, iTunes, Playstation, Xbox, Redbox and more. In 2016, Christopher released “Wayunagu,” which has won the award for BEST INDIGENOUS FILM. He followed up with more action films, “Nirau,” and “Across the Rising Sun,” his first Nollywood Action film. HIs latest film release, “Wayunagu 2,” has been selected by the Belize International Film Festival and in consideration for many others.
With his next film, “The Pugilist,” Christopher Miles is looking to stretch his filmmaking abilities to create an original Action film and extend the brand of his International Film Company, Lake Street Films.
