The Proud Tree
"The Proud Tree" is a charming stop-motion short film that tells the story of two trees: a friendly tree and a proud tree. While the friendly tree welcomes all creatures, the proud tree's arrogance prevents birds from nesting in its branches. However, when a woodcutter arrives, the proud tree's pride leads to its downfall. Through beautiful visuals and a heartfelt narrative, the film teaches a valuable lesson about humility and the consequences of arrogance.

Born in 2013 in the scenic city of Sylhet, Ittiba is a young enthusiast with a profound love for storytelling through film. Her favorite movie, "3 Idiots," reflects her appreciation for meaningful narratives that leave a lasting impact.
Outside of the world of cinema, Ittiba enjoys the simple pleasures of life. She's an avid cyclist and takes delight in tending to her garden, showcasing her connection with nature.
Filmmaking for Ittiba is a means to convey her stories and share them with the world. Despite her artistic pursuits, she humbly considers herself a simple and ordinary girl, finding inspiration in the everyday.
At home, she has a pet cat named "Nightmare," whom she dutifully cares for. Ittiba believes in two primary responsibilities: ensuring her cat is well-fed and nurturing the plants outside, a testament to her nurturing spirit.
This movie is really special to me, and I want to tell you why.
The story is about two trees, a friendly tree, and a proud tree. The friendly tree is kind to everyone, but the proud tree is too proud to let birds make nests in its branches. That's not nice, right?
I wanted to show that being too proud and not friendly can lead to problems. It's important to be kind and humble, just like the friendly tree.
We made the trees with used tissue paper rolls and color papers, and the birds and the bees with polymer clay. It was like a magical forest!
Through this movie, I hope you learn about being friendly and not too proud. It's a fun way to remember that being nice to others is always a good thing.
I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it!
