The Prototype

Communitism breathed life into an abandoned neoclassical building in Athens by fostering collectives and initiatives of the city in need of space, to create and synergize.
Through workshops, events, and creative collaboration, this grassroots experiment became reference point facilitating a network of communities and challenging the local preconceptions and existing binaries of what is shared, public or private space.
The documentary captures a moment in time as they face the challenge of preserving their vision beyond the walls that sheltered them for 6 years, while journeying back to their beginnings and periods of growing pains.
