The Priori

A Priori- “relating to or denoting reasoning or knowledge which proceeds from theoretical deduction rather than from observation or experience.” They say what is understood doesn't need to be explained. But what if it does? How do we really consider things that are understood? In this story, a film teacher asks his students to create something that is authentic… something that is real. One student in particular, The Nihilist, struggles with this because to him reality is subjective. What one person considers real might be an illusion to another person. The only way to find reality is to find the things that are real for everyone. He is finding the Priori.
