Director Biography - Brandon Wesley Peplow

Hi I’m Brandon I’m 24 years old and recently got into writing/ Directing through studying at university in London for the past couple years. I’ve currently made a handful of short films varying from Comedy to Sci-fi to Noir. All writing myself and Directing too as they are my main passions in this field. My love for Creating comes from my Father who brought me up with a wide range and love for Film and Music which is another love of mine. I visually consumed a lot of things growing up even the odd 15 rating that definitely opened up a creative spark for me as I got older and maturer. Writing stories was always a love of mine as ideas would come to me in the weirdest of ways like Dreams for example, I’d wake up and write down the idea and then expand on it which lead me to realising this is what I should do for a living and pursue it in education.

Director Statement

The Perfect Kill is one of my longest and final project for University. I originally came up with a shorter version back in First year but being unable to make it due to the pandemic I put it on ice and came back to it as my final uni project as it felt full circle to me doing so. I expanded on the idea and went forth to bring it to life. The process was difficult at time especially working on a very low budget. There were moments where I felt I was doing a lot myself but once it finally came together I realised I made something on a low budget that I’m proud of which isn’t an easy thing to do and I can definitely say the higher the budget the more exciting things there is to come from me in the future.
