Jaima Chevalier is an award-winning author and filmmaker based in Santa Fe, NM. Her artistic focus documents authentic stories of the American Southwest, ranging from flamenco and famous artists of the region to Indigenous protest movements and exposing cultural appropriation.
Flaubert posited that the artist should be invisible. I am only happy with my work when I feel that it is devoid of my bias and that it captures the authentic work product of all the collaborators, the magic of my subject, and the heartbeat of the ideas that coalesced in our vision.
