The Pen
On his birthday, Shirish arrives at the office to a warm reception from his staff, who celebrate him with well-wishes and gifts. Among the presents, he finds a pen gifted by Ram, the office peon, which brings back cherished memories of his father. Through flashbacks, we see young Shirish longing for his father's pen and the lessons he learned about the pen's significance in shaping one’s life.
As the story unfolds, Shirish reflects on the importance of the pen not just as a writing instrument but as a symbol of responsibility and legacy. He gifts the pen to his son, imparting the wisdom that it holds power to create or destroy, emphasizing the value of thoughtful action in their lives. The narrative weaves together themes of memory, legacy, and the passage of wisdom from one generation to the next.
