The Path
Bali is emerging as a battleground for fighters chasing glory. Eight warriors - boxers, MMA fighters, and Muay Thai specialists from Indonesia, Spain, New Zealand, Iran, and Australia - train, bleed, and push their limits for one shot at victory under the island’s neon fight lights. They fight not just for titles, but for purpose - battling inner demons, sharpening discipline, and finding clarity in combat. In the ring, they come alive. The road to personal victory is brutal, but the rewards go far beyond the win for those who endure.

Director’s Statement
The Path is more than just a look inside the high-stakes world of professional fighters - it’s a testament to the power of martial arts to transform lives. Every fighter we interviewed shared a common thread: before they found their discipline, they were lost. Their fight code didn’t just shape them as athletes; it gave them direction, purpose, and a reason to push forward.
Visually, we wanted to mirror this journey. We shot interviews in stark black and white with spherical lenses to strip everything back to raw emotion. Training sequences burst into colour, capturing the sweat, struggle, and relentless grind. For the title bouts, we switched to anamorphic, heightening the scale and cinematic intensity of fight night. Shooting live under ambient light was one of our greatest challenges - but also our greatest reward, preserving the electric energy of the moment.
Ultimately, The Path isn’t just about fighting opponents - it’s about conquering yourself. We hope this film inspires people to realize that their toughest battles are internal and that those struggles don’t just shape who we are - they can fuel our greatest victories.
