The Passengers

Metaphysical exhibition that rises like an erotic cloud, sometimes becomes a thunderstorm and falls to Earth as rain, while the lightning smashes the layers of the atmosphere. The body then loses its form to become Formless. The Eternal Aidos.

Director Biography - Fred L' Epee

Filmmaker and visual artist Fred L’Epee’s work rejects any classifications. His pieces are marked with freedom as well as rigorous formalism, when encapsulating a careful attention to composition and balance. In an age in which the borders between artistic disciplines becomes more and more blurry, he uses his kaleidoscopic approach to inquire the notions of psyche, death, contemporary mythology and post-existentialism. His films and visual works has been shown in several international film festivals, cinemas, symposiums, juried screenings, numerous solo/group exhibitions.

Director Statement

In my personal journey as an artist, I always observe our being as an eternal procession. We are part of the process that goes from geometry to the universe. Abstraction with undefined shapes and lines to an ultimately unknown destination. The story of the human being. Like a post-atomic myth or a pre-war blues. We always choose the feeling of belonging and farewell. We belong to our movements which are the expansion of our cycles. The structure of our human geometry. Time is the rotation of our existence. Through this movement, we use the memory in our psycho-affective system in order to imagine our freedom, our cries, our drifts, our social struggles. In exile, all that we are. We belong to this path. And we use it as an ultimate form of being. The ideal is definitely established. I think it is the path of our metamorphosis. The path of our evolution. Without it, the world is nothing.
