Born in Boulder, Colorado as the son of a Japanese immigrant, Aamuro has always had a fascination of Japanese culture and history. He enjoys the surrealism of Japanese media and the great story telling that goes along with it. As a filmmaker and photographer, Aamuro connects both Western and Japanese cultures to create unique perspectives on his own stories. His films have screened at multiple film festivals and outlets including the Boulder International Film Festival, Breckenridge Film Festival, and Rocky Mountain PBS. Aamuro currently attends the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. The faces he meets and the memories he makes are what keeps him going back to the storyboard.
