Director Biography - Vince Clemente

My first film, The World of Z, took the audience on a powerful four-year journey into the eccentric life of manic-depressive outsider artist known simply as Z. After viewing it, Gordon Quinn (Hoop Dreams) called it, "A masterful character study." The film went on to win Best Feature Length Film in the Hollywood Film Festival and the Palm Springs Documentary Festival.

I went on to produce Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters, a documentary film about finding the best Tetris player in the world. Not only did I produce the film, but I also directed and produced a large scale tournament in downtown Los Angeles which served as the climax of the film. This Tetris Championship is now celebrating it’s 10th year. The film went on to win the Audience Award: Austin Film Festival and Best Feature Length Film: Phoenix Comic Con Film Fest.

“To see a world in a grain of sand...”
Sometimes by focusing on the tiniest subjects we can discover a new facet of our humanity. It’s the very peculiarity of this obsession that draws us in, not expecting much or knowing what we’ll find. But as we fall in love with the Palindromists, we align with their spark and this creativity that blossoms in such an unusual form.
