A man and his 12 year old daughter are in a room with their backs to a broken door, trying to keep it closed. A horde of ravaging zombies, who ceaselessly pound, scratch, and kick at the door, are trying to enter the room.

Director Biography - Kyle Grogan

Kyle Grogan is an independent film maker in the state of Maine, USA. He graduated from United Technologies Center's Commercial Video Communications program in Bangor, ME in 2013. Kyle is a two-time 1st place state winner and top five national finalist for the SkillsUSA Digital Cinema Creation skills contest (2012+2013). During that time Kyle created many student projects, shaping his writing, shooting, directing, and editing styles.

In the years since, Kyle has practiced perfecting his filmmaking craft with countless test shoots and experimental works. In 2021, he founded Dirigo Motion Pictures as the official name brand for all of his productions. He shoots with Black Magic cinema cameras and edits on his PC at home.

Kyle lives in Bangor, Maine with his wife and their two beautiful children.

Director Statement

After spending the last 12 years working on test footage and making promos for small businesses, this is my first official short film that I don’t consider a test or student work. It's also my first time submitting to festivals and really putting myself out there.
But we (myself and those involved), are really proud of this short film.
