Director Statement

The idea originally came about after needing to go to the toilet and remembering being stuck outside for what felt like eternity thinking: what if it’s trying to tell me something, figuratively and literally? Being 19 I’m in an environment where different types of teenage love issues unfold, so coming up with a story where two people were fighting over the same girl seemed to hit almost too close to home. However, having seen outside my surroundings and having lived in a ‘coming of age story’ myself, I began to question these themes and ideas on love and what does it all amount to? So in quite possibly the most ridiculous way I asked these meaningful questions, and answered them through a very, very unlikely hero.
