Tanya Bansal is a student filmmaker based in London. She was born (September 15, 1999) and raised in New Delhi, India. Her path to film began by making a short youtube video with friends as actors and her phone as her camera. From there it expanded to theatre students and a DSLR. She soon recognised that creating videos wasn’t just a hobby but a career path she wanted to pursue. This lead her to delete her Finance SOP and instead apply for a film and media course. She is currently in her second year, studying Contemporary Media Practice at the University of Westminster, London. At university, she expanded her interests further and made a few multi-screen installation projects. She debuted as a director with the experimental film, Chakras. Now, she is presenting her first documentary project 'The Okhla Flyover'.
