Director Statement

Animation is more than movement—it's a portal into new dimensions, a way to breathe life into the intangible and translate emotions into motion. With The Night Market Fantasy, I sought to capture the fleeting, dreamlike nostalgia of Taiwan’s night markets, blending hyperreal imagery with surrealist fantasy. Every frame is a brushstroke of memory, a fusion of tradition and modernity, reality and illusion.

I believe in the power of world-building—crafting not just characters, but atmospheres, sensations, and experiences that resonate beyond the screen. My work is driven by an obsession with the in-between: the space between past and future, light and shadow, myth and reality. Through animation, I strive to create worlds that linger in the mind, inviting viewers to lose themselves and rediscover something within.
