Director Biography - Nomadas Films

We are a couple that has been developing their careers for almost 20 years in the audiovisual industry.
Tony is a young Spanish woman who graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the university in Extremadura, Spain. During those years, she started to work as a journalist for a digital magazine and a radio station.
Later, she went to Madrid to continue her film studies at Instituto del Cine Madrid to study: Direction of photography.
As a result of this, she started to work on all types of projects on a professional level in the lighting and camera departments.
On the other hand, Alonso, a young Mexican, also graduated in Audiovisual Communication in Mexico City. When he had finished university, he moved to Europe to study cinematography at ECAM (Escuela de cinematografía y del audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid).
Afterwards, he also attended Instituto del Cine Madrid, where he continued to learn techniques of lighting, camera, and cinema in general.
Since the early years in Spain, he started to participate in student and professional projects until he began to work regularly in the industry.
During these twenty years of our careers, we've worked in feature films, short films, documentaries, tv ads, television shows, music festivals, corporative and social events, corporative communication, internet and social media contents, concerts, sports events, video clips, etc.
Most of the work we've done it's been in the area in our specialization: Lighting and camera.
Nonetheless, that hasn't been an obstacle for us to learn and developed other skills like sound recording, editing, motion graphics, audio and image post-production, color grading, VFX, etc.
All of this led us to work on commercials projects and our own as well for a long time. And since then, we haven't stopped growing.
We have been fortunate to work in Spain, Mexico, Germany, or Norway in projects of all sizes and performing different positions with a lot of professional crews.

Somos una pareja que lleva casi 20 años desarrollando su carrera en la industria audiovisual.
Tony es una joven española graduada en Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad de Extremadura, España. Durante esos años, empezó a trabajar como periodista en una revista digital y en una emisora de radio.
Más tarde, se fue a Madrid para continuar sus estudios de cine en el Instituto del Cine de Madrid para estudiar: Dirección de fotografía.
Como resultado de esto, comenzó a trabajar en todo tipo de proyectos a nivel profesional en los departamentos de iluminación y cámara.
Por otro lado, Alonso, un joven mexicano, también se graduó en Comunicación Audiovisual en la Ciudad de México. Al terminar la universidad, se trasladó a Europa para estudiar cinematografía en la ECAM (Escuela de cinematografía y del audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid).
Posteriormente, también asistió al Instituto del Cine de Madrid, donde continuó aprendiendo técnicas de iluminación, cámara y cine en general.
Desde los primeros años en España, comenzó a participar en proyectos estudiantiles y profesionales hasta que empezó a trabajar regularmente en la industria.
Durante estos veinte años de carrera, hemos trabajado en largometrajes, cortometrajes, documentales, anuncios de televisión, programas de televisión, festivales de música, eventos corporativos y sociales, comunicación corporativa, contenidos de internet y medios sociales, conciertos, eventos deportivos, videoclips, etc.
La mayor parte del trabajo que hemos hecho ha sido en el área de nuestra especialización: Iluminación y cámara.
Sin embargo, esto no ha sido un obstáculo para aprender y desarrollar otras habilidades como la grabación de sonido, edición, motion graphics, post-producción de audio e imagen, corrección de color, VFX, etc.
Todo esto nos ha llevado a trabajar en proyectos comerciales y en los nuestros propios desde hace tiempo. Y a partir de entonces es que no hemos dejado de seguir creciendo.
Hemos tenido la suerte de trabajar en España, México, Alemania o Noruega en proyectos de todos los tamaños y desempeñando diferentes cargos con muchos equipos profesionales.

Nomadas Films, we are a different production company.
Our motto is: "We have to do it ourselves and have to do it well."
That's why we decided to create this company with another focus in mind.
We decided to embrace the challenge and produce all our content, only the two of us. So far, it's been a hell of a ride, full of excitement and especially grateful.
Proof of that is this short-film where we've done all pre-production, production, and postproduction by ourselves.
Both of us assume all responsibilities, technically and creative speaking, during all the process, and we feel comfortable by doing it this way.
We think that in the end, the final result of our films is a truthful and honest version of our ideas, and also, a powerful sample of our strengths and experience as filmmakers.
And this becomes another way to show the professionalism and possibilities that has to offer our production company.

Nómadas Films, somos una productora diferente.
Nuestro lema es: "Tenemos que hacerlo nosotros mismos y hacerlo bien".
Por eso decidimos crear esta compañía con otro enfoque en mente.
Decidimos aceptar el reto y producir todo nuestro contenido, sólo nosotros dos. Hasta ahora, ha sido un gran viaje, lleno de emoción y especialmente agradecido.
Prueba de ello es este cortometraje en el que hemos hecho toda la pre-producción, producción y post-producción nosotros mismos.
Ambos asumimos todas las responsabilidades, técnicas y creativas, durante todo el proceso, y nos sentimos cómodos haciéndolo así.
Creemos que al final, el resultado final de nuestras películas es una versión veraz y honesta de nuestras ideas, y también, una poderosa muestra de nuestras fortalezas y experiencia como cineastas.
Y esto se convierte en otra forma de mostrar el profesionalismo y las posibilidades que tiene para ofrecer nuestra productora.
